Your Upcoming Surgery with COVID-19 Prevention and Safety Measures

As we continue to adhere to safety measures and mandates, our patient's and our team's safety is the most important. Our focus is to follow our policies and protocols in accordance with State guidelines. Our infection control team is updating our protocols and expanding our safety measures daily (if needed). We ask for your patience, as we work through this process together.

Preparing for Yor Stay
Preparing For Your Stay

Our team understands how you can feel overwhelmed or anxious about your visit. Our hopes are to ensure that you are comfortable and your visit will be a smooth process. We created our PAT and WET team members to help you with the process.

Our pre-admission team (PAT) will call you two days before your procedure date to answer any questions you may have in regards to your visit. They will check to ensure that your pre-admission questions have been answered by your doctor in regards to your treatment plan. PAT will let you know what we need when you arrive at the center (photo ID, insurance card, etc.)

Our welcome escort team (WET) will assist you on the day you arrive at our center. We will assign you a personalized team member to walk you through the process. One of our welcome escort teams will bring you to the pre-op area where the nurse will do a health interview and prepare you for surgery. He/she will follow your progress during your stay to ensure if you have any questions, or concerns they are answered. He/she will escort you upon discharge to ensure you are rejoined by your family member to take you home after your procedure.

Transportation: DO NOT PLAN TO DRIVE yourself home or use public transportation after your procedure. A friend or relative or dedicated caregiver MUST stay with you for 24 hours.

Once your provider determines that you are stable, you will be discharged. They will inform you of what to expect over the next 12 to 24 hours, including common post-surgery effects like sleepiness, dizziness, and soreness at the surgical site.

After Care: One of our team members will review your post-surgical care instructions with you, providing both verbal and written guidance. A family member must be present to discuss and sign these documents before you are allowed to go home.

If you experience anything unusual after surgery, please contact your provider or go to the nearest emergency room. Our after-care team will also call within 24 hours to check on your recovery.

Please remember that your provider is the best resource for any post-operative care questions or concerns you may have.
